Biography
Cocolima was born in Ul'dah to an average Dunesfolk family. He grew up in a modest household, neither impoverished nor privileged. When he came of age, he took a simple job handing out flyers outside of the Coliseum. He did his job with enthusiasm and excitement, being very outgoing and energetic, which helped get people interested. However, after the Battle of Cartineau happened, Cocolima saw the devestation wrought by the Empire and Bahamut. He felt bad that he couldn't do anything to help, and this lit a fire under his natural "go get 'em" attitude, and he decided then and there that he wanted to join the Adventurer's Guild.

Unfortunately, his family would have none of it. Though he pleaded his case, they discouraged him from taking on such a dangerous life. The Kokolimas feared that their boy would end up mangled by a Bandersnatch or swallowed whole by a Nyx. Not wanting to disappoint them, all he could do was keep trying to convince them how important it was to him to go out and make a difference. After several years went by, Cocolima was sitting around having a drink in The Quicksand and chanced to meet an Adventurer named Kino Reinhardt. They talked about their mutual love of Chocobos, and Kino regailed Cocolima with stories of his adventures. Cocolima's resolve was bolstered and, no longer caring about appeasing his family, he asked Kino if he could train him to be an Adventurer.

Kino agreed to become Cocolima's Mentor, even offering to bankroll his career (arms, armor, supplies, etc.) if Cocolima would use his training to help Kino take on additional contracts so they could double-up the workload and reap the benefits. He also requested Cocolima to be his representative at social functions that he himself couldn't attend due to any professional obligations. Cocolima agreed to the terms, and he now could finally become an Adventurer!Cocolima also made a bet with Kino that, if he styled his hair the same and dressed the same, he could convince Kino's friends he was a Mammet lookalike. And, for the first month of their arrangement, he did just that. You can read all about the Saga of Wind-up Kino right here!
Abilities
Coco was initially instructed in the use of a Sword & Shield by Kino. However, after experimenting a bit with Handgonnes as a ranged option, he and Kino thought that his natural size, speed, and agility might be better suited to using a Gunblade and not weighing himself down with a shield. At present, he hasn't attempted his hand at any school of magic. However, a friend of Kino's who is adept in Healing magic has expressed amenability to gauging Cocolima's magical proficiency should he decide to explore it.

Concealed Arms
Cocolima, as instructed by his mentor Kino, keeps himself armed even outside of explicit combat situations. Whether he is in casual attire, club wear, dress wear, or swim wear, Cocolima keeps a weapon on him in case trouble breaks out.To that end, Cocolima keeps a handgonne and aetherotransformer tucked into his clothing at all times for the event that he needs to defend himself in an unexpected situation.Unfortunately this doesn't apply to his swimwear, which cannot accomodate both of these items, leaving him currently defenseless in such a situation.
RP Hooks
• Cocolima loves Chocobos. If your character owns Chocobos or races Chocobos or is in any way a Chocobo enthusiast, that's a conversation starter.• Cocolima still deals with his family trying to talk him out of adventuring. He sees them frequently, as he and Kino live right near them in Ul'dah, and they often encourage him to go back to his old job hocking flyers outside of the Colisium. This is a point of frustration for Coco.• Even though the "Wind-up Kino" wager required Coco to hide his true identity, he doesn't shy away from the fact that this happened now that the farce is ended. If your character ever saw a little miniature duplicate Kino running around, Coco will be glad to take credit.
